About Us
The gallery is a first of its kind - the list of artists tied to the Gallery’s programme is progressive, exciting, and new to the Indian buyer. Pristine promises to put a ton of emphasis on the long-term growth and success of the artist - both creatively and commercially.
The gallery represents contemporary artists from the South Asian subcontinent and artists from the global Indian diaspora.
Pristine Contemporary currently represents 7 artists exclusively in India; Haneen Almoosawi, Sivasubramaniam Kajendran, Varad Bang, and Shakeel Solanki being a few to name. The ethos of the gallery is to introduce high-quality contemporary art that has never been displayed before in India. Because it is a gallery born of the experienced lens of collectors, the gallery is driven by creativity and curiosity. With a serious programme when it comes to choosing its artists and conceptualizing shows, the gallery aims to provide artists with an elevated platform, extensive reach, and media visibility, and to open a whole new, high-quality market for art that has not been shown in India before.
Besides contemporary art, Gallery Pristine will in the future also present Indian heritage art under the name Pristine Heritage, and showcase collectible design products under Pristine Design.
Pristine presents its debut show, Reflections: The Mirror and The Self in March 2024. The show is a solo by the internationally recognised Belgian-origin, Sri Lanka-based artist, Saskia Pintelon, and will take place at Stir World/Vis a Vis.
