About Alishba Binte Faysal

Alishba Binte Faysal (b. 2000, Quetta, Pakistan) is a Karachi-based visual artist holding a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting from the National College of Arts, Lahore. Working primarily with oil paint and charcoal, her practice is an ongoing dialogue between memory, material, and process drawing from old family photographs of herself, her parents, friends, and familiar spaces as a starting point to explore belonging and identity. Through an intuitive process of layering, erasing, and reworking, she traces how personal and collective histories transform as they pass through the painterly process, allowing the work to carry the weight of memory until the image becomes entirely her own.

Alishba has exhibited widely across Pakistan, with participations at Vasl Artists' Association, Karachi (2026), Lakir, Lahore (2025), Numaishgah, Lahore (2025), ArtScene, Karachi (2025), Ocean Art Gallery, Lahore (2025), O Art Space, Lahore (2025), Ustad Allah Bux Art Gallery, Lahore (2025), Ejaz Art Gallery, Lahore (2025), Tagh'eer Creative Space, Lahore (2025), and her Fine Art Thesis show at the National College of Arts, Lahore (2024).
