About Krisha Bhuva
Krisha Bhuva (b. 2002, Gujarat) is a practicing visual artist who has completed her Master of Visual Arts in Painting from the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, where she also earned her Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts. Her practice is rooted in the translation of lived surroundings and narrative landscapes, closely observing everyday spaces, interpersonal exchanges, and fleeting visual moments, often positioning herself as both witness and participant within the pictorial field. Working predominantly on silk, she employs watercolours and pigments to build layered tonalities, drawing inspiration from Indian miniature traditions and the artistic sensibilities of East Asia, particularly China and Japan, allowing simplicity and decorativeness to coexist through quiet, layered storytelling.
Krisha has exhibited widely across India, participating in notable shows including "Blue Horizon" at Arushi Art Gallery, New Delhi (2024), "The Poetic of The Everyday" at APRE Art House, Mumbai (2024), "TACAE" at Sarjan Art Gallery, Vadodara (2024), "Etaoni Season 5" at Splatter Studio, Baroda (2024), "Legacy of Kala Sakshi" in New Delhi (2025), "Common Ground" a group exhibition in New Delhi (2025), and "Her Story," a group exhibition at Kynykyny Gallery, Bangalore (2025).
