B. 1993, Bogura, Bangladesh

'Ever since I can remember, I have enjoyed drawing. Through my art, I explore the behaviors and emotions that precede disaster, focusing on the delicate space where safety and dread coexist. I am interested in capturing the tension between these opposing feelings and the moments that exist between comfort and apprehension.'

Rifat Ara Mim was born and raised in Bogura, Bangladesh. After completing her pre-degree program in Bachelor of Art at Bogura Art College, she embarked on a journey of self-discovery as a self-taught artist. This path led her to explore various styles and techniques, allowing her to carve her unique niche in the art world. Embracing the freedom of freelancing, she immersed herself in the art community and actively participated in numerous group shows.

Recently, her artistic focus has shifted towards the theme of sisterhood. Growing up as a single mother's child, she holds a profound belief in the empowering dynamics between women. Through her work, she strives to depict the strength and resilience inherent in the bond shared by sisters. Each stroke of her brush is a testament to the interconnectedness of women, their shared experiences, and the support they provide one another.

As she continues to explore the realms of art, her goal remains to convey the intricate stories of human relationships, emotions, and the fine line between security and apprehension. Her journey as an artist is a continuous evolution, driven by a deep-seated passion for capturing the complexities of the human experience through the lens of creativity.
